June 21 - July 4, 2018 Tour of China and the Yangtze River, with an optional extension to Hong Kong
Our 2018 summer tour will cover the major highlights of China, featuring the Great Wall, the Forbidden City of
Beijing, Tiananmen Square, a five-day cruise of the Yangtze River, a visit to
the Giant Panda Breeding Research Institute in Chengdu, the Museum of the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xi'an, then Shanghai and the biggest commercial street in China. Optional 2-day extension to

Day 1: Charter bus ride from DuBois and Clearfield, PA to Dulles International Airport, Washington DC. Over-night Flight to Beijing.
Day 2: Arrival in Beijing, orientation with tour director.
Day 3: Guided tour of Beijing, Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, informational Peking Duck Dinner
Day 4: Visit the Great Wall of China, a Chinese Tea House, enjoy a Rickshaw Tour of the Hutong, then we divide the group to experience dinner with local families and see the true culture within their homes.
Day 5: Fly to Yichang and Board a Yangtze River Cruise Fly to Yichang and embark on a cruise of the Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia.
Day 6-8 River Cruise, with multiple stops, including Three Gorges Dam, native tribal visit, hanging coffins, sampan ride to Qutang Gorge and the Meng Liang Staircase, and either Fengdu or Wanzhou.
Day 9: Disembark from cruise in mountain city of Chongqing and visit the zoo and General Stilwell Museum. Transfer to Chengdu, capital of the Sichuan Province.
Day 10: Morning visit to Giant Panda Breeding Research Institute, and great opportunities to view giant
pandas. This is one of two places in the world where visitors can pay to hold a young panda. Afternoon flight to Xi'an, one of the oldest cities in China. Visit:
Day 11: Visit the Museum of the Terra Cotta Warriors, with its 6,000 intricately modeled life-sized men and horses. Visit to Muslim Quarter and shopping area, known for its incredible selection of foods.
Day 12: Flight to Shanghai, walking tour of Nanjing-Lu, to visit the longest commercial street in China. Free time later in day.
Day 13: Guided sight-seeing of Shanghai, including Jade Buddha Temple and Walking Tour of Nanjing-Lu and the Bund, plus plenty of free time to finish any last-minute souvenir shopping.
Day 14: Flight home.
OR: 2 day optional extension to Hong Kong. $555 - $670, depending on number of people who take the extension. Price includes flights, 2 meals/day, hotels, tour director.

June 15-26, 2019 Iceland, Norway and Sweden, with a St. Petersburg extension
Our 2019 Tour begins in Reykjavik, Iceland. After our over-night flight, we get to relax at the Blue Lagoon and spa, before visiting the city. Stops include the Hofoi House, Perlan Restaurant, presidential residence, and the Hallgrimskirkja Church.
On Day 3, we travel the Golden Circle, a ring of some of Iceland's most magnificent natural wonders, including Thingvellir National Park, the Great Geysir geothermal area, and Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall.
On Day 4, we fly to Bergen, Norway.
On Day 5, we'll tour Bergen and see the Bergenhus Fortress, figh and flower markets, Custom House and harbor, Fantoft Stave Church, and Edvard Grieg Museum. In the afternoon, we'll take a cable car ride to the top of Mount Ulriken and have a beautiful view of Bergen's city center.
Day 6, we take a cruise through narrow fiords, surrounded by steep cliffs. We'll disembark at Flam and explore the Flam National Railway Museum, then take a scenic train ride along one of the steepest rails in the world.
Day 7. Fly to Oslo, Norway and enjoy a sightseeing tour of the city. A local guide will introduce the group to Oslo's Viking traditions and landmarks. Visit Oslo's City Hall and Viking Ship Museum. Stroll through Vigeland Sculpture Park and the local Mathallen Market.
Day 8. Flight to Stockholm. Free afternoon in the city, or add an optional Stockholm Archipelago tour on a sailing ship.
Day 9. Sightseeing tour of Stockholm, including City Hall, site of the annual Nobel Prize Banquet. Visit the Vata Museum, the medieval Old Town and see the Royal Palace. Free afternoon or add an optional excursion to Drottningholm.
Day 10 and 11. Visit picturesque town of Sigtuna en route to Uppsala. Visit Uppsala Cathedral, Gustavianum Museum, and Gamla Uppsala archeological site.
Day 12. Flight home, or fly to St. Petersburg, Russia for a three day extension, which includes Palace Square, St. Peter and Paul Fortress and Cathedral Church, Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, and the Hermitage Museum. Free day on last day, or an optional excursion to the Peterhof. Cost of extension: $999 includes flights, breakfasts, hotels, entrance fees.
Cost of the 12 day tour without extension:
$5,999 includes hotels, all flights, all breakfasts, 6 dinners, admission to all listed events, 24/7 tour director, local guides at designated places, porterage at hotels.
